Influence Government to make life more accessible for your deaf constituents

1 in 3 adults in the UK – and your constituents – are deaf or have hearing loss. 67% of them often feel excluded from many aspects of public life.

Help change this as a Parliamentary Representative by influencing Government to become more inclusive for our communities, and by being deaf aware when engaging with your constituents.

What your deaf constituents want

Our charity manifesto Loud and Clear outlines the policy areas which would make the biggest positive difference to people who are deaf or have hearing loss. You can help by supporting our 4 key policy asks:

  1. Working with the BSL community to transform their life chances
  2. Improving access to high quality audiology services
  3. Creating an NHS that meets everyone’s communications needs
  4. Ensuring equal opportunities in the workplace.

Campaigning for change

You can also engage on the issues faced by deaf people and people with hearing loss at the All Party Parliamentary Group on Deafness, helping us campaign for policy change in Parliament.
